I have been working with kids for several years now. I started babysitting when I was 12 and I started as an assistant teacher in 2023.

Why do you love working with preschool aged children?

I love working with preschool aged children because they are sincere when communicating with you and I love nurturing these genuine interactions. I appreciate all of the bonds I have formed working with the children and the people I work with.

Fun Fact: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love going to the beach, hiking, shopping, and spending time with my friends and family.

I graduated from Cal State Channel Islands with my BA in Psychology and during my time there I also took ECE classes as well.

Experiences with Early Childhood Education

In High School, I had the opportunity to teach Third graders about environmental science and I was also a mentor for a Third, Fourth, and Fifth grader for Three years.

Why do you love working with preschool aged children?

I love working with preschool aged children because it is amazing to watch them learn and grow and essentially introduce them to the fundamentals that they will need as they grow, such as their alphabet and numbers.

Fun Fact: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy making arts and crafts in my free time. I like scrapbooking, cooking, and painting.

I enjoy hiking/being outdoors and I love going to Disneyland/anything Disney related!

I began working with children as I finished my B.A. from CSLB at their wonderful child development center in 1993. After graduating, I was blessed to teach Pre-K at a Baptist Pre-school in Santa Monica, CA. When I moved to Valencia in 1998, I began teaching Kindergarten at Pinecrest Academy. The following year I began my stay-at-home mom life and raised my three children and returned to teaching in 2010 for the Saugus School District. In 2021, I started teaching at Monarch Academy and have made it my other home.

Why do you love working with preschool aged children?

I love working with children because it gives me the opportunity to be a small part of the future. You can help a small human learn how to communicate kindly, learn empathy and be an enthusiastic learner. If they have fun learning, they will enjoy a lifetime of education.

Fun Fact: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy a Sunday of football and family. You will find me decorating for all the holidays and cooking and baking in my kitchen when I have a free moment.

I have been working with young children for about twenty years. I started babysitting when I was 11 years old, I nannied for 5 years, and taught preschool for 4 years.

Why do you love working with preschool aged children?

I enjoy building one on one relationships with young children and love watching them grow and learn each day.

Fun Fact: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family. I also love going to coffee shops, walking, and shopping!
